LUNA is the scientific and pedagogical publication of the Binary & Maths History Museum. A patient editorial about the long history of counting, the slow construction of algorithms, and the bright continuity between ancient observation and the artificial intelligence we are now writing. By choosing LUNA, the museum highlights the continuity between ancient scientific practices and modern technological innovation — measurement, abstraction, and prediction, the capacities shared by historical mathematicians and today's intelligent systems. Luna is Latin for the moon. For millennia, the moon enabled civilizations to establish numeration systems, formulate lunar calendars, build geometric concepts, and develop the earliest computational procedures. These practices are the origins of structured reasoning and algorithmic thinking. Luna est le mot latin pour la lune. Pendant des millénaires, la lune a permis aux civilisations d'établir des systèmes de numération, de formuler des calendriers, de construire des concepts géométriques et de développer les premières procédures de calcul. Ces pratiques sont à l'origine du raisonnement structuré et de la pensée algorithmique. Luna هي الكلمة اللاتينية للقمر. على مدى آلاف السنين، أتاح القمر للحضارات أن تُنشئ أنظمةً للعدّ، وتصوغ تقاويمَ قمرية، وتبني مفاهيمَ هندسية، وتطوّر أوّل الإجراءات الحوسبية. هذه الممارسات هي أصول الاستدلال المنظّم والتفكير الخوارزمي.
